- Qualified Teacher: £32,304 to £40,050 per annum
The Role:
The job role involves the delivery of teaching, learning and assessment within Sport and Academies. We have a fantastic partnership with Manchester City in the Community through which we service approximately 75 learners equating to 4 teams; a partnership that offers truly once in a lifetime experiences from international work placements in New York and Abu Dhabi to flag bearing on matchdays, to name but few. Specifically, we are looking for an individual with expertise with NCFE, Sports and Exercise Science and Coaching and Development. We deliver a range of qualifications. Of interest to this post are:
- Sport and Exercise Science Level 1 through to Level 3
- Sports Coaching and Development Level 1 through to Level 3
- Manchester City in the Community Football Academy
- Manchester Giants Basketball Academy
You will be tasked with the delivery of the above playing an integral role in improving the team’s high grades outcomes. In addition to this, you will also provide pastoral care to a minimum of 2 cohorts of learners. Within these pastoral care responsibilities, you will be required to form strong working relationships with learners and parents alike driving good attendance to all components of our study programmes in the pursuit of outstanding learner outcomes.
There may also be further opportunities to be involved in the delivery of our fitness academy. With this, we deliver Level 2 to Level 4 Personal Training, many upskilling and/or retraining programmes whilst we have future plans to diversify into strength and conditioning and sports massage.
