Main duties of the job
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated individual to take on a band 6 role within the Training and Development team at MRI Theatres. To apply, you should be a registered Nurse or ODP with demonstrable skills within two specialties of theatre, with excellent leadership and communication skills.
You will be based primarily at Manchester Royal Infirmary Theatres with in Phase II and ETC operating theatres.
As a senior member of our committed Training and Development team you will need the ability to work flexibly to support the service level requirements and able to adapt to changes in the NHS. It is also vital that you are team player with a professional focus on service delivery and can demonstrate a commitment to high quality patients care.Enthusiasm. experience and a high level of motivation are necessary.
This is an ideal opportunity for you to develop managerial and leadership skills and you will be support within a growing training and development culture. You will be responsible for delivering training to MRI staff and students. You will also participate in presenting information from audits or meetings at the appropriate forums.
As a member of the training and Development team you will need to disseminate your knowledge and skills to the wider theatre workforce helping maintain high standards of care.

- Evidence of CPD in a relevant specialty
- Specialty evidence of level 6/7 studies
- Relevant Teaching qualification
- Substantial experience at band 5 in two areas
- Excellent communication skills
- Evidence of teaching and supervising staff
- Evidence of working in a team
- Experience or research
- Experience with clinical audits
- Knowledge of IT systems such as HIVE
