About Our Client
Our client is based in Southampton, and due to a busy period and various ongoing projects, the accountancy team is looking for additional support.
Job Description- Process payroll accurately and on time for all employees in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Maintain and update payroll records, including salary adjustments, tax codes, and benefits deductions.
- Respond to payroll-related queries from employees and provide clear explanations when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with all statutory regulations, including PAYE, National Insurance, and pension contributions.
- Collaborate with the accounting and finance department to reconcile payroll data with financial records.
- Prepare and submit necessary reports to HMRC and other relevant authorities.
- Support audits by providing requested payroll documentation and explanations.
- Continuously review payroll processes to identify and implement improvements.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Payroll Administrator should have:
- Proven experience in payroll administration.
- Strong knowledge of payroll systems and relevant UK regulations, including PAYE and pensions.
- Attention to detail and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Proficiency in using payroll software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Effective communication skills for liaising with employees and external stakeholders.
- Salary of £30,000 to £32,000 per annum.
