Our mission is to provide each survivor with specialised, compassionate support tailored to their unique needs.
Through the Sexual Violence Counselling service, group work programs, and one-to-one support, we empower survivors on their journey to healing.
As a Sexual Violence Support Worker, you will play a pivotal role in providing weekly one-to-one support to survivors of sexual abuse.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Offering consistent, psychosocial, trauma-informed support for survivors of sexual violence.
- Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to connect survivors with the appropriate external support services, including ISVA services, SARCs, and substance use services.
- Assisting in the delivery of our specialised group work programs and counselling services.
What We're Looking For:
- A compassionate and empathetic individual with a deep commitment to supporting survivors of sexual violence.
- Experience in providing trauma-informed support, preferably within a similar role.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other professionals to ensure holistic support for survivors.
- Strong communication and organisational skills, with a focus on empowering survivors in their recovery journey.
