Part-Time Residential Support WorkerChildrens Residential HomesJob DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Part-Time Residential Support Worker (18.5 hours per week) with experience in complex needs to join a supportive team within a Childrens Residential Home in Leeds.DetailsPermanent positionPart-time (18.5 hours per week)Salary starts at 26,421 per annum (pro-rata)PurposeAs a Residential Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to children in residential care, ensuring they are loved, happy, healthy, safe from harm, and able to develop, thrive, and fulfil their potential.
Your expertise in complex care will play a key role in supporting children with diverse needs.ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be expected to:Assist children in residential care to develop emotionally, educationally, and behaviourally, particularly those with complex care needsFoster positive relationships with children and staff in the homeSupport childrens emotional, mental, and physical health needs, with a particular focus on those with complex behavioural or emotional difficultiesWork with a wide range of professionals, families, and communities to ensure holistic care for each childProvide a safe, stimulating, and loving environment for children to flourish inRequirementsThe ideal candidate will have:Experience working with children or young people who have complex care needs, including emotional/behavioural difficultiesAbility to manage complex and challenging behaviour in an assertive, restorative, and sensitive mannerAbility to work flexibly, including unsociable hours, shifts on a rota basis, and availability for weekend and bank holiday workingApply NowIf you are passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of children and young people, and have experience in complex care, then this is the job for you.
