An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Buyer to join our highly reputable client based in Peterborough. This role offers a fantastic entry into the buying sector, focusing on books. You will support the Buying Manager in managing smaller book ranges in retailers, managing children’s ranges, supporting Out of Category promotions, and other ad hoc duties to keep the category running smoothly.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Work collaboratively with key suppliers, retailers, and internal stakeholders to support the buying team in delivering sales and growth for the category.
• Manage smaller book ranges and children’s ranges across various retailers.
• Support on Out of Category promotions and other ad hoc duties as required.
• The role involves a mix of office work and working from home, with occasional travel to publishers and retailers.
