We are looking for an enthusiastic Senior Category Manager to join our established team to lead the healthcare and clinical category.You will be able to demonstrate excellent strategic leadership, communication and relationship skills, commercial acumen and the ability to drive continuous improvement and collaboration.
You will have responsibility for all procurement activity within your category, whilst developing your skills and career via mentoring and professional training such as CIPS.
The role is suitable for someone who has effective project management and planning skills for managing multiple procurement projects, a clear understanding of best practice procurement techniques. A track record of delivering within public sector or commercial procurement and/or contract management experience is required.An understanding of the Public Contracts Regulations and Provider Selection Regime is desirable.
We provide an integrated procurement service to Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (SABP) and Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (SPFT), which provide mental health services across Surrey and Sussex.
Staff are employed by SABP but can be based at either Leatherhead, or Worthing with the flexibility of hybrid working and access to a great range of non-pay benefits.
Main duties of the job
To lead the clinical and healthcare category by developing and implementing procurement strategies for a range of both clinical and healthcare requirements, whilst ensuring compliance with the Trusts internal policies and applicable legislation.
Provide professional commercial advice and support to all healthcare and clinical projects.
Lead the development of appropriate sourcing strategiesConduct competition processes that result in contracts which deliver improved patient outcomes.
Provide commercial contract management support to contract owners, including managing supplier relationships
Drive efficiency and innovationBe an effective leader to drive maturity of the function and development of staff

We also provide social care services for people with a learning disability in Croydon and ASD and ADHD assessment services in Hampshire.
