Assistant Exams Officer

We are seeking to appoint an Assistant Exams Officer to join our Examinations team.
This role is offered on a part
-time (24 hours per week), term-time plus 15 days, permanent basis, and is paid on Points 8
  • 10 of the Support Staff Salary Spine (£26,343
  • £27,733 per annum FTE / £16,084
  • 16,932 per annum pro-rata).
The College Exams Service aims to provide all the students in the College community with the information they need to undertake their external and internal mock examinations. The department liaises with staff at all levels in the College to ensure students are entered on the correct qualifications and in a timely manner.
The department is continually striving to make improvements to all of its systems and processes in order to make continual positive contributions towards helping the College fulfil its mission and ethos. Exams do this by ensuring all stakeholders have the information they need to achieve positive outcomes.

Exams also has operational responsibility for ensuring that all Ofqual Regulations are adhered to on a strict basis.

The Exam service uses bespoke in-house software which is maintained and developed. The Exams department also has overall responsibility for the input and accuracy of exam data in the college and other systems.

The area is staffed by an Assistant Exams Officer and led by the Exams Manager supplemented by a Senior Invigilator and an experienced team of Exam Invigilators at key times of the year. The department continues to adjust to the changing needs of the College’s Stakeholders and the Exam Boards used by Curriculum areas.
