We are seeking passionate and dedicated Trainee Residential Child Care Workers to join our team. As a Child Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting and guiding our young residents. You will provide day-to-day care, facilitate engaging activities, and foster positive relationships, all while promoting independence and personal development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality care and support to young residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
  • Create a safe and nurturing environment that encourages personal growth and self-esteem.
  • Plan and facilitate recreational and educational activities, helping residents to develop new skills and interests.
  • Assist with daily living tasks, including personal care, meal preparation, and household duties.
  • Build positive relationships with residents, promoting trust and open communication.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports regarding residents' care plans and progress.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including social workers, therapists, and educational staff.
  • Participate in staff training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with children.
  • Patience, empathy, and a passion for working with young people.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies and practices.
