We are based in our friendly office in Leigh, Lancashire but have members of the team who work remotely in other parts of the UK and across the world.
The Role
The QHSE Co-ordinator is new opportunity for someone for shape and deliver our operating processes that will enable the delivery of our growth plans.This will be an exciting opportunity with a clear development plan for the right candidate, we want to support the successful development of the QHSE expert through completion of NEBOSH and promotion to QHSE Manager within 12 months.
We are looking for a mechanical engineering background (degree level or equivalent) who will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable health, safety and environmental regulations, as well as maintaining high quality standards within our manufacturing and supply processes.

Quality management
- Support the development, implementation and maintenance of Quality Management Systems to ensure compliance and other relevant standards
- Conduct Internal Quality Audits process and completion, follow up on corrective actions
- Resolution of quality issues through co-ordination of production teams and other departments
- Maintenance of all records to ensure accuracy and report generation on request.
- Implementation and monitoring of all Health and Safety policies
- Conduct Risk Assessments and identify potential hazards, ensure policies to minimise risk are put into place
- Health and Safety training sessions and record maintenance
- Co-ordinate incident investigations and maintain training records
- Development and implementation of environmental management systems in accordance with ISO 14001
- Monitor and report on environmental performance
- Promotion of best practices within the TBT Group
- Ensure compliance for all QHSE documentation
- Prepare and submit reports on time for all regulatory authorities as required
- Support CI initiatives across the group as well as for QHSE
- Support the creation of a culture of safety, quality and environmental responsibility
Requirements/Qualifications
- Degree in Manufacturing/Engineering or similar field.
- Knowledge of QSHE standards, ISO 9001, 27001, 14001
- High levels of attention to detail
- Strong organisation skills
- Work collaboratively within a team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent customer service, interpersonal, organisation and administration skills.
- Be able to organise your own time
- Passion and enthusiasm for the technology industry and our part within it.
Development Plan
We believe in continuous career development and the promotion of our people. The COO will be an active mentor for the successful candidate. We also partner with Citation for completion of our compliance processes, so the successful candidate will have expert advice to draw on as they develop in the role.
This role will start as graduate opportunity, with guidance and support for the delivery of our ISO accreditation at the end of this year, with additional support and guidance through the Citation portal.We then have several product launches that will require full process and mapping for manufacturing and assurance; the QHSE role will play a crucial role in ensuring these go to market to deliver the best services we can do for our customers.
After 10 months and successful completion of objectives we will provide a NEBOSH training course (intensive 2 week). On completion of the qualification and role objectives we will be looking to promote this role to QHSE Manager.
