Procurement Buyer - Blackwood
Focused Recruitment are currently seeking a Junior Procurement / Buyer to join our clients global manufacturing plant within the Blackwood area.
Our client is a global aerospace/aviation company with sites across the UK, Europe & US.
Duties of the role include:
- Vendor Invoice management reconciliation of issues raised by account payables department in SAP. Chasing people to GR PO line items
- MRP Scheduling
- New product development
- General conversion of requisitions to PO's, sending to suppliers
- Following up with suppliers on late delivery dates etc
- Deliver efficient, effective and flexible solutions to meet production requirements
- Ensure forecast information is correct, daily systems up-dates & Master data in Excel is correct.
- Placing orders with suppliers, ensuring deliveries are scheduled to meet production demand.
- Daily use of department KPI's to identify appropriate resource stock levels, minimising waste, and redundant stock write-offs.

Education / experience required:
- Educated to degree level CIPS preferably (or working towards)
- Supply chain or Procurement experience
- IT literate with strong spreadsheet knowledge
- Experience working with a MRP/ERP and SAP system.
- Experience working in a legislative environment and familiar working with procedures/systems
