Position: Teaching AssistantLocation: Portsmouth
Hours: Flexible, typically 08:30 - 15:30 (varies by school)
Pay: £12.90 per hour (Term time only)
Who We Are:
At Teaching Personnel, we partner with fantastic schools that support students with Special Needs and Social Emotional Mental Health needs. The pupils within the schools that we work with have diverse needs including Autism, ADHD, Down Syndrome, communication dificulties, and may require special care like feeding tubes or wheelchair assistance.
What You’ll Do:
- Provide support in various classrooms as needed, covering for staff absences.
- Create a welcoming learning environment for students.
- Support the class teacher with implementing personalised learning plans and activities.
- Work with a dedicated team of educators.
- Support the pupils on both a 1:1 and group basis, as required.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in SEN/SEMH settings (personal or professional).
- A passion for helping students reach their full potential.
- Flexibility and a readiness to jump in where needed.
- Strong teamwork skills and a commitment to inclusivity.
- Excellent communication and reliability.
