If you don't already have a Level 3 qualification or equivalent experience in a relevant subject, RDaSH are offering this post alongside the opportunity for you to complete a Level 3 apprenticeship qualification [relevant to your role].
As an apprentice within RDaSH you will be given the opportunity to gain experience, learn work-related skills and obtain all the tools needed to thrive.
An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. Around 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying. This leads to a nationally recognised qualification.
Whether you already work for us or are joining the Trust and NHS for the first time, apprenticeships can help you to develop the skills, knowledge and know-how in order to embark on a successful and fulfilling career within the health service.
Main duties of the job- Provide a senior confidential, quality administrative service to an identified branch of services within the Care Group
- To communicate effectively, accurately and professionally, applying discretion and empathy where necessary, with written, telephone and face to face contact, with patients, service users, visitors, other Trust staff and external agencies
- Have an understanding/knowledge and be able to work towards the KPI’s and targets set by the commissioner
- Maintain quality in own work and encourage others to do so whilst working as an effective and responsible senior team member
- To ensure appropriate records storage and archiving is carried out in a confidential and timely manner
- Monitoring of the service email inboxes, ensuring actions and responses are completed in a timely manner
- To maintain a high level of integrity and confidentiality in respect of all work
- Provide line management to identified Band 2 Administration Assistants including supervision
- General typing and document creation using Word, Excel and PowerPoint as required
- To be prepared to temporarily work in a different area from usual base point if required for the
continuity of service delivery

Person specification
Qualifications
Essential criteria- English and Maths at level 2 or equivalent (GCSE 9-4 or A*- C or functional skills level 2)
- NVQ level 2 or equivalent in a related subject
- NVQ level 3 in related subject or willingness to undertake a relevant Level 3 Apprenticeship
Experience
Essential criteria- IT skills in Microsoft Office Packages
- Working in a busy office environment
- Office procedures i.e. filing, photocopying, message taking
