Applications are invited for the post of Clinical Fellow (Higher ST6+/Senior Post CCT) in Ophthalmology (Cornea) for a period of 12 months commencing on 01 May 2025.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will receive good exposure to Cornea, Cataract and Anterior Segment Surgery. There will be opportunity for research and the post holder will be actively encouraged to engage in audit.

In order to be considered it is essential that applicants have FRCOphth part 2 or equivalent.

Please note that these posts do not carry Postgraduate Dean’s approval or training recognition.

Full Registration and a Licence to Practice with the General Medical Council at time of application is required.

The applicant must have demonstrable skills in listening, reading, writing and speaking in English that enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues, as set out in the GMC’s Good Medical Practice (2013). Non-UK applicants must possess the IELTS/OET exam before obtaining a GMC licence to practice.
