Catering Assistant (Evenings) | University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust
You must possess excellent Communication skills the ability to work as part of a team and have a can-do attitude.
You will receive full training including a level 2 food safety and allergen training, other mandatory training and all essential to role training.

The main duties of a Catering Assistant working at Burton Hospital are to work as part of Facilities & ward teams to carry out a variety of tasks associated with food preparation, food and beverage service to patients, visitors and staff.- To deliver good principles of customer care ensuring helpfulness, awareness and compassion to patients, visitors, staff and colleagues.
- Preparation of patient meal trays.
- Service of cold and hot food items with meal delivery to patients.
- Cleaning duties within the kitchen and other associated areas in accordance with departmental cleaning schedules to include equipment, work surfaces crockery and cutlery.
You will ideally possess a good understanding of Mathematics and English. Have a good understanding of customer care and be able to communicate well with patients, staff and visitors. Catering experience and a Food Safety Certificate are desirable but not essential, skills and technical training will be given.
