Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Civil Engineering Technician to join our team. As a Civil Engineering Technician, you will be responsible for bridging the gap between investigation, design and construction. You will provide support and advice to the team and help coordinate the delivery of projects for a growing number of clients around London.
You will be involved in traffic data surveys, site investigation surveys, feasibility studies, design of highway transport, drainage and building works and providing design supervision during construction.
The position is 37.5 hours a week and some traffic survey require overnight surveys in all areas across England. The role requires a detail-oriented individual with a passion for civil engineering and ability to work independently using own initiative to deliver activities in line with the organisation goals and growth plan.
Key Skill Requirements- Civil Engineering design support
- Ability to observe construction work from a design perspective
- Ability to work independently and undertake surveys (day & night time surveys)
- Willingness to undertake CCTV drainage surveys
- Conduct site visits to undertake surveys
- Conduct site visits to assess and evaluate construction activities in line with design
- Create detailed reports on surveys, health & Safety file
- Maintain open communication with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders throughout the project
- Produce information for sales and marketing of civil engineering services
- Extensive experience in the construction industry
- Excellent problem-solving skills

- The successful candidate must have own car and have a Full UK Driving licence.
- Comprehensive knowledge of health and safety legislation and requirements particularly relating to property matters and its impact on staff and people who use services at our sites
- Practical operational supervisory experience ideally in construction-related roles
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction or related industry
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a sales or marketing role
- Construction safety cards e.g. CSCS Card, SMTS (Essential)
- Communicates effectively both orally and in writing.
- Excellent IT skills and experience of using MS office and Housing databases.
- Highly organised, able to prioritise and deliver to tight deadlines within a business-critical environment.
- Ability to prioritise own workload and time and concentrate despite frequent interruptions.
- Drives and holds current driving licence
- London: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
- Must be resident in UK
