Year 3 Teaching Assistant
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 3 Teaching Assistant to join a supportive team at a wonderful school. This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with teachers to support children’s learning and development in Key Stage 2.
As a Year 3 Teaching Assistant, you will assist in delivering engaging lessons, providing one-to-one and small group support, and helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment. This role begins April 2025.
Duties as a Year 3 Teaching Assistant:
- Supporting the class teacher in delivering high-quality learning experiences.
- Providing one-to-one and small group support to pupils, including those with SEND or additional needs.
- Assisting with the preparation of lesson materials and classroom resources.
- Encouraging pupil engagement, independence, and confidence in learning.
- Supporting children’s social and emotional development.
- Helping to manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
- Supervising pupils during breaks, lunchtimes, and school trips.
Ideal Year 3 Teacher:
- Experience working with children in a school setting (desirable but not essential).
- A passion for education and supporting children’s learning.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A patient, adaptable, and enthusiastic approach.
- Knowledge of Key Stage 2 curriculum is an advantage.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, NVQ in Supporting Teaching and Learning) are desirable but not essential as a Year 3 Teaching Assistant.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
