Renewable Energy Project Manager (The Green Energy Navigator)
If you’re ready to lead and make a significant impact in the renewable energy sector, our client has the perfect opportunity for you. We’re looking for a Renewable Energy Project Manager (aka The Green Energy Navigator) to manage solar, wind, and other renewable projects, ensuring their successful deployment and contribution to a sustainable future.
As a Renewable Energy Project Manager at our client, you’ll work closely with engineers, environmental scientists, financial analysts, and contractors to bring projects from concept to completion. Whether managing large-scale wind farms, solar installations, or hybrid energy solutions, your role will be pivotal in supporting clean energy adoption and helping to meet climate and energy goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage Renewable Energy Project Lifecycles:
- Oversee all stages of renewable energy projects, from feasibility studies and permitting through to construction, testing, and commissioning. You’ll ensure that each phase is completed on time and within budget, and that projects meet regulatory and environmental standards.
- Develop and Maintain Project Plans and Timelines:
- Create detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets that outline each step and milestone. You’ll work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure all activities are aligned with project goals, timelines, and sustainability objectives.
- Coordinate with Cross-Functional Teams and Stakeholders:
- Collaborate with engineers, contractors, financiers, and regulatory bodies to facilitate project progress. You’ll maintain strong communication across teams, troubleshoot issues as they arise, and ensure alignment between project activities and stakeholder expectations.
- Ensure Regulatory Compliance and Permit Acquisition:
- Manage the permitting process to ensure all required environmental and zoning permits are obtained. You’ll make sure that projects adhere to local, state, and federal regulations for renewable energy installations and that compliance is maintained throughout.
- Track and Report on Project Performance:
- Monitor project progress, assess key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide regular status reports to stakeholders. You’ll track metrics like cost, schedule, and energy output forecasts, adjusting plans as needed to meet targets.
- Identify and Mitigate Project Risks:
- Conduct risk assessments to identify potential challenges in project development, such as supply chain delays, regulatory changes, or weather impacts. You’ll implement mitigation strategies to minimize risks and keep the project on track.
- Drive Sustainability and Cost Optimization:
- Evaluate ways to maximize sustainability and cost efficiency in project design, resource allocation, and logistics. You’ll identify opportunities for renewable integration, waste reduction, and cost-effective practices that support long-term project success.
