Level 2 Teaching Assistant
Teaching Personnel are working closely with a welcoming, inclusive, and thriving primary school committed to providing a nurturing learning environment for all our pupils. We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join their KS1 team and help support children to reach their full potential in Summer Term 2.
The Role:As a KS1 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to support teaching and learning in the classroom. You will assist with the planning and delivery of lessons, work with small groups and individual pupils, and contribute to creating a stimulating and supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the teaching and learning activities within the KS1 classroom.
- Work with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning.
- Assist in preparing resources and setting up activities.
- Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teachers.
- Help manage pupil behaviour in line with the school’s policies.
- Support children with additional needs to access the curriculum.
- Foster positive relationships with pupils, parents, and staff.
Person Specification:
- Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
- Experience working in a KS1 setting (desirable).
- A patient, caring and enthusiastic attitude.
- Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative when required.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
