The Headteacher and Governing Body are looking to appoint an exceptional teacher who is experienced in all aspects of leadership with a proven track record of achievement in this area. You will have a clear vision of, and a creative approach to, ensuring access to education for all our pupils admitted to Chelsea Community Hospital School.This role is a highly unique and rewarding opportunity.
You will be based primarily at the Chelsea Community College at least three days per week and across all six sites of the hospital school with the understanding that the sites will have different requirements at various times and be responsive to this.You will take lead responsibility for the day-to-day running of the school and work in partnership with the Headteacher contributing to the school’s strategic developments.
Teaching and working with pupils will be a feature of this post and you will be required to have a teaching commitment in this role. A strong knowledge of a curriculum area is very important along with a creative teaching approach. You will need to have the ability and flexibility to engage pupils at CCHS across all key stages both in small class settings and on a one-to-one basis by their bedside and support the development of their learning whilst in hospital or at the Chelsea Community College.
This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of the SLT of this successful hospital school. Recently judged Outstanding by OFSTED for the fifth time running, the school has a special ethos, with personalised learning, creativity and building resilience being features of the curriculum for young people in hospital.
