Female Complex Care Worker
Pay rate: £12ph (monthly pay)
Shift Pattern: 22:00 - 08:00(Nights) / 17:00 - 22:00 (Days)

We have a unique and fulfilling opportunity for the right person to support an individual with complex care needs, living in their family home in Newcastle. Despite a tough start in life, this person is generally a happy and joyful individual who loves exploring the world around them.

They can walk unaided and will often seek out their care workers for playtime or cuddles. While they cannot verbalise, they express themselves through sounds, smiles, and body language, showing you when they are happy.

This individual requires care involving tracheostomy management, suctioning, JEJ feeding, and oxygen administration. You will play a crucial role in supporting their health and well-being while enhancing their quality of life.

We're looking for someone who:

  • Is local to Newcastle and familiar with the area.
  • Brings empathy, patience, and a positive attitude to their care.

The successful candidate will have ideally have experience in complex care needs, including:

  • Tracheostomy care and suctioning
  • JEJ feed administration
  • Oxygen administration
  • Complex care for individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and challenging behaviours
  • Understanding the importance of clear and confident communication, especially with individuals who cannot verbalise but use other means to express themselves.

What will your shift involve?

You will provide high-quality, compassionate, and attentive 1:1 care tailored to this individual’s specific needs. Your role will include ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met, as well as supporting with social activities that promote their well-being.

You will also help with household tasks to maintain a clean and organized environment. Most importantly, your care will help create a supportive and joyful atmosphere that allows this individual to live as independently as possible, while offering plenty of opportunities for fun and bonding moments.
