To help the Team we are looking to employ into a new housekeeper for Critical Care. The role is both patient and non patient facing and requires physical health to move equipment / stores within lifting policy terms

Main duties of the job- The post holder will work as an integral part of the clinical ward / department team and to be responsible for the co-ordination of all patient facilities / services in the ward area, ensuring a clean, safe and comfortable.
- The main element of the role is ensuring and supporting the delivery of cleaning, catering and minor maintenance, together with other specified tasks to meet individual patients’ needs, as determined by the department sister / charge.
- The post holder will work co-operatively with colleagues, as part of the team and perform additional duties as and when directed by the theatre clinical team, to enable nursing staff to undertake direct patient care.
- Support and deliver infection prevention and control practices and procedures to maintain a safe clinical environment and support clinical staff to deliver safe and effective.

Our 8 bedded critical care unit is part of a larger service model that includes critical care outreach services, acute pain and follow up clinic services.

Person specification
Qualification(s) and Professional Training
Desirable criteria- NVQ or equivalent in relevant subject.
- Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
Experience and Knowledge
Essential criteria- Previous experience in hospitality / customer facing or care environment
- Experience of working in a team
- Supervisory experience inthe NHS or similar environment
- Experience of undertaking a housekeeper role
Skills and Abilities
Essential criteria- The candidate must haveknowledge of the following or be prepared to undertake the relevant training:-

- Flexible to meet the requirements of the Trust if required to work in other wards/departments at te request of the manager or other senior hospital manager
