Revenue Operations Analyst – Europe & APAC
The role involves calculating sales commissions, forecasting, KPI processes, drive timely billing, improved revenue operations and reporting. The revenue operations analyst is a new role created to build out, administer and drive the global renewals process.
Additionally, this position will play a critical role in analysing and forecasting revenue trends, ensuring accuracy in timely billing and reporting.
This position requires strong organisational skills, ability to collaborate with different functional teams, possess an analytical mindset, proficiency in data analysis, and a good understanding of both Saas and perpetual software business models.This role reports into the Commercial Finance Manager, it is a hybrid role based in Cambridge, UK.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all new and annual renewals are entered timely and correctly in the CRM with the appropriate CPI increases.
- Identify revenue leakage and areas of opportunity.
- Report on annual increases.
- Ensure revenue renewal forecasting accuracy, as part of month end close.
- - Coordination with sales and the customer success leads to execute timely billing, revenue forecasting and renewals.
- Ensure accurate reporting of ACV, M&S, training, support, etc.
- Monitor and analyse customer retention and churn metrics.
- Pipeline and sales productivity reporting; delivering accurate regional, product, and individual sales performance reporting; turning raw data into actionable insights.
- Sales forecasting, working closely with sales to ensure data accuracy of opportunities in CRM (Hub Spot) assisting sales with any updates required.
- Prepare and maintain monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue reports, highlighting key metrics and performance indicators.
- Calculate sales commission; provide insights and recommendations for enhancing and improving the Sales Commission Policy
- Assist in the development of process documentation
- Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis to support business initiatives.
- Deliver sales metrics, dashboards and other ad-hoc analytical tasks
- Provide ongoing support and training to end-users.
- Support the implementation of revenue-related systems and tools to streamline renewals, billing, reporting and analysis.
Qualifications:
- Qualified Accountant (minimum 2 years PQE) with a recognised accounting body (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent)
- 2+ years of experience in sales operations or financial analyst role, preferably within a software, Saa S or technology environment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and present findings clearly.
- Proficiency in Excel and financial modelling; experience with analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
- Experience using Hub Spot and/or Salesforce a plus
- Familiarity with accounting principles and revenue recognition standards (IFRS 15).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Detail-oriented, with strong organizational and time-management skills.
