Are you an inspirational and innovative GCSE maths teacher? Do you share our passion for ensuring that each pupil is recognised as an individual and treated with respect? Are you excited by the challenge of joining a new school opening in September?

As the Subject Lead you will teach KS3 and KS4 maths to GCSE with responsibility for planning, delivering, assessing and reporting on the curriculum across the whole school. A whole school approach is therefore essential, alongside the ability to engage with our KS2 teachers to inspire a love of maths.

You will prepare and review long and medium-term plans to ensure appropriateness of learning objectives, high levels of engagement and innovative practices and identify and support the implementation of cross-curricular opportunities specifically around subject areas.

Additionally, you will report on pupil attainment, engagement and progress and contribute to the creation of reports at the end of each term and at the end of each academic year for external stakeholders and governance. All teachers are expected to monitor and support pupil pastoral wellbeing and it is expected that most teachers will also lead a tutor group.

You will be a qualified and experienced teacher with a strong commitment to getting the best outcomes for all pupils and promoting the ethos and values of our school. Previous experience of supporting needs associated with autism and an understanding of the processes involved in EHCP documentation would be beneficial.

In return, Leith Hill School offers an exciting and dynamic environment where staff members thrive as part of a supportive and innovative team. With a strong focus on professional practice and development, we provide opportunities for growth, collaboration, and creativity, ensuring that every member of staff feels valued and inspired.

Our school fosters a fun and engaging atmosphere, encouraging new ideas and fresh approaches to teaching and learning. Whether you're looking to enhance your skills, work in a forward-thinking team, or make a real impact in a vibrant educational setting, Leith Hill School is the perfect place to develop your career.

If you are interested in applying please complete our application form. For further information, please contact careers@leithhillschool.com. Initial discussions may take place online. We reserve the right to interview and close early.

Leith Hill School is part of Cavendish Education, a family of independent day and boarding schools. The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the DBS.
