We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Facilities Site Manager / Grounds Person to work at our Trowbridge site. Whilst school experience is preferred, we will consider applications from any candidates with transferable skills. You will be working with a supportive team and have a genuine passion working at a School for SEND pupils.
This role is a full-time position based at our Trowbridge campus.

The Role
Salary: Scale H, £15.84 - £16.93. Actual salary, £30,559 - £32,654 Location: Trowbridge, BA14 7EB Contract Type: Full-time, PermanentWe are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Facilities Site Manager / Grounds Person to work at our Trowbridge site. Whilst school experience is preferred, we will consider applications from any candidates with transferable skills. You will be working with a supportive team and have a genuine passion working at a School for SEND pupils.

The main duties of the role are- Keyholding, locking/unlocking and site security
- Assist with the implementation of Compliance including legionella, COSHH, asbestos and Fire Safety
- Responsible for reactive repairs and scheduled maintenance and undertaking regular site inspections
- Supervise Maintenance contractors whilst on site
- Supervision of School Vehicles including checks, MOT schedules and general cleanliness
- Porterage
- Acting as part of the Fire Response team
- Room preparation for meetings and external lettings
- Helping to uphold the Health & Safety of all users of the school in line with statutory and regulatory requirements
- Overseeing ancillary staff and Service provision Contractors
- Responsible for ensuring the School can function and that essential services are available
- Responsible for maintaining the School Grounds
There may be some occasional weekend work required and a possibility of additional ad-hoc hours. This is a physically demanding role.
