Your new company:A joint venture to deliver facilities management and maintain services for the defence industry.

Your new role:

  • Helping the Sustainability Manager with the development and maintenance of a fully compliant Environmental Management System
  • Assisting with providing technical support on environmental issues and sustainability innovation in construction
  • Completing investigations and producing reports
  • Liaising with clients, end users and regulators
  • Working with project teams to prescribe and support the delivery of sustainability support.
  • Assisting the Sustainability Manager with responding to significant environmental incidents on site

This role would suit a recent graduate, someone at the start of their career who is keen to learn and make a difference.

What you'll need to do in this role:

  • Previous experience in an Environmental or Sustainability role.
  • Awareness of current and relevant environmental legislation.
  • Knowledge and appreciation of Environmental Management Systems.
  • Good communication and presentation skills.
  • Be able to demonstrate an understanding of at least one area of Ecology and Conservation, Waste Management, Contaminated Land or Sustainable Procurement.
  • Experience in Data Analysis and Report Writing.
  • A good level of skill at using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • A Degree or equivalent experience in Environmental Management, Sustainability, or associated discipline.
  • You will be working towards becoming a Member of the Institute of Environmental Management (IEMA).
  • You will be working towards a level as an Environmental Auditor.
  • You must be able to pass the SC Clearance to be considered for this role - hence why, you must be a British citizen or be in the country for the last 5 years.
  • You must have a full UK Driving Licence as there will be frequent travel throughout the Southwest to support the teams and activities of the company.
