JOB DESCRIPTION
Personal Assistant
A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF
I am a 10 year old boy living in Cowbridge with my Dad and St Athan with my mum. I have an older sister too.
I attend a Special School in Penarth.
I can communicate using my language skills but sometimes my speech can be unclear. I like it when you repeat back what I’ve said so I know you understand me.
My super power is my autism diagnosis!
I am loving, affectionate, have a cheeky sense of humour. I love tight cuddles. I need time to process spoken instructions and prepare for change. Last minute changes of plan can be difficult for me but I just need time to think it over.
My additional needs mean I lack awareness of danger. I might get too close to people or vehicles. I can be easily distracted by things I can see and hear. Hypervigilance is needed.
I love walks by the sea or lake and really enjoy feeding ducks, geese and swans. I really enjoy trips to the supermarket – especially those with an escalator or lift which I love to watch and ride. I like to press the buttons myself and if it’s very busy I prefer to wait until it’s quieter to have a turn.My other passion is vehicles including trains, buses and aeroplanes. I love to catch the train or bus into Cardiff and watch the trains at the station. When I’m not train spotting, I love to sit and have an ice-cream (always vanilla in a waffle cone!).
