Teacher of French and/or German
The Dixie Grammar School is a selective 3-18 coeducational independent school set in three uniquely beautiful settings in rural Leicestershire. We are a happy school, in which our polite pupils are comfortable in their own skins, grounded, energetic and constantly challenged.
We currently have a vacancy for a full-time permanent French and / or German Teacher within the Senior School, which is in Market Bosworth in the Leicestershire countryside. All current teachers of French or German offer expertise in both languages, hence the flexibility with this new role.In addition, there is the potential for some work with Years 3-5 at the Junior School site which is based in the nearby village of Wellsborough.
You will be:
- A qualified teacher with a passion for the subject area of MFL, an NQT candidate will be considered
- A creative person, able to respond dynamically to a changing learning environment
- Energetic and enthusiastic in your ability and desire to provide a rich and varied learning environment
- Able to deliver the curriculum at key stage 3 through to key stage 5.
- An effective communicator and team player, able to liaise with parents and colleagues
- Flexible and willing to support all areas of school life, including pastoral duties and extra-curricular activities
The successful candidate must have:
- experience of delivering the French/German curriculum for GCSE/A-level to exam board requirements in the subject area. Experience of a second foreign language (French or German) would also be an advantage
- the ability to adapt practice to the needs of different learners
- the ability to plan delivery to enable all students to access the curriculum and which reflects individual needs
- have a good understanding of Safeguarding in Schools (however training will also be provided)
The post is Full-time and Permanent. Salary is dependent upon experience, plus benefits such as complimentary lunches, ongoing professional development and a generous matched pension contribution.
