Role **CNC Programmer/Machinist **
Location Exhall, Coventry
Days based £16-£18hr
Reporting to Technical Manager
**General** **Summary of position: **
The client manufacture of complex pressings and assemblies, across 4 sites utilising state of the art equipment and production methods including the latest in CNC Machining.
We design, program and manufacture most of our press tooling in house, and we are looking for an experienced CNC programmer to join our technical team, leading a small team of machinists. (4 machines in total across 2 shifts)
**Main Duties & Responsibilities:**- To program, set up and operate Dugaurd 3 axis milling machines
- Strong knowledge of Visi Cam
- To produce complex tooling to a high standard of quality and specification
- Ability to read technical drawings, through to design and manufacture.
- Plan and manage the output and efficiency of all 4 machines
- Planning of people, shifts and machines to support tight timing plans over 2 shifts
- Adhere to health & safety regulations, ensuring a positive safety culture is realised and maintained
**Personnel Specification **
*Individual should be/have:*- Previous experience in a similar role is essential
- Strong attention to detail, proactive with problem solving and continuous improvement
- Ability to manage your own time, prioritise work and meet tight deadlines
- Personally motivated and be able to motivate others.
- Good communication skills and be able to express him/herself clearly and concisely.
- A desire to develop and improve products and processes.
