What does this Care Assistant job involve?Hours of Work:37.5 Hours Per Week
- Promote a Pleasant Environment: Undertake care and housekeeping duties while promoting residents' dignity, privacy, and independence.
- Provide Quality Care: Attend to residents' physical and personal needs, including washing, dressing, bathing, toileting, and feeding.
- Respect Privacy and Dignity: Listen to and respect residents' rights to privacy and dignity, helping them overcome anxieties and retain independence.
- Encourage Social Interaction: Facilitate contacts with friends and family, community activities, and personal shopping.
- Assist with Domestic Tasks: Help with meal preparation, serving, housekeeping duties, and maintaining cleanliness.
- Participate in Staff Activities: Engage in staff meetings, training, development, and comply with health and welfare procedures.
- It is not necessary to have previous experience of working in a similar care environment because, as long as you are an empathetic individual who has a positive attitude and good communication skills, our first-class training will do the rest.
- You will be able to undertake all aspects of caring for older people with compassion and respect in order to meet the physical, emotional and social needs of our residents.
- Our Homes operate on a 24/7, 365-day basis therefore you will need to be able to work shifts (including weekends, evenings and Bank Holidays).
- You must be aged 18 years or over to apply for this job.
