Financial Accountant

Salary: £65,000 FTE

About the Company:

As the company continues to scale, they are seeking a highly motivated Financial Accountant to join their dynamic finance team on a contract basis.

Role Overview:

The role will involve collaborating closely with senior leadership to provide insightful financial analysis and help drive the business forward.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly management accounts, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in line with UK GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
• Manage the year-end financial audit process, liaising with external auditors and providing necessary documentation.
• Support tax filings, VAT returns, and other statutory compliance requirements.
• Reconcile financial discrepancies, investigate variances, and recommend corrective actions.
• Assist in developing and improving financial processes, controls, and systems.
• Prepare financial reports and analysis to support business decisions and strategies.
• Work with cross-functional teams, including operations, sales, and product, to ensure accurate financial data.

Key Requirements:

• ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified (or equivalent).
• Strong experience in financial accounting, ideally within a technology or digital business environment.
• Solid knowledge of UK GAAP and other financial reporting standards.
• Proficiency in accounting software (experience with Xero, QuickBooks, or similar is a plus).
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with various teams.
• Ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• A solid understanding of technology companies financial needs is advantageous.
