Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

Location:

South East England, Surrey, Reigate

Job Duties:

  • Provide support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a classroom setting.
  • Assist the class teacher in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) for students.
  • Help create a supportive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
  • Work with students on a one-to-one basis or in small groups to support their learning and development.
  • Assist with personal care and medical needs of students as required.
  • Monitor and record student progress, and report back to the class teacher.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
  • Relevant SEN training or experience.
  • Good understanding of SEN strategies and techniques.

Experience:

Experience in a similar role within an educational setting is preferred.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.

Working Conditions:

This role involves working within a classroom environment, supporting students with varying degrees of SEN. The working hours are typically school hours, Monday to Friday.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
