Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location:
South East England, Surrey, Reigate
Job Duties:
- Provide support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a classroom setting.
- Assist the class teacher in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) for students.
- Help create a supportive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
- Work with students on a one-to-one basis or in small groups to support their learning and development.
- Assist with personal care and medical needs of students as required.
- Monitor and record student progress, and report back to the class teacher.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
- Relevant SEN training or experience.
- Good understanding of SEN strategies and techniques.
Experience:
Experience in a similar role within an educational setting is preferred.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to work well under pressure.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
Working Conditions:
This role involves working within a classroom environment, supporting students with varying degrees of SEN. The working hours are typically school hours, Monday to Friday.
