Term-time Youth Support Worker

As a Youth Support Worker your personality and creativity will be key in shaping and helping children pursue personal aspirations.

• Encouraging young people to engage in a variety of clubs and offsite trips.
• Planning, organising and running activity programmes.

(All of which promote social development)

• 39-week term time role
• Training and development opportunities which include recognised qualifications and accredited certificates.
• Salary: £26,000 (FTE) per annum (pro-rata for 39 weeks) with option for overtime
• Fixed 2-week rota to include one weekend day per fortnight.
• Equivalent of 28 days per annum holiday pay calculated in hours

• A motivated, creative, and empathetic approach
• Enthusiasm to work with and support the development of young people
• Ability to plan, lead and participate in activities with young people
• Confidence to contribute and collaborate with the youth support team and wider care team
• A keenness to learn and implement Trauma Informed Practice
• Previous experience in working with children and young people is desired
• Driving licence – desired
