Overview

Our client, a leading UK National Business based in Cheshire, with a highly recognised and respected brand are seeking an Associate level Data Engineer, to join their highly skilled Data Engineering team of 10 people, with the promise of a great place to work, fantastic mentoring in training and development to optimise your career path in this highly desirable technology space and become a pivotal member of the evolution of this team.

Our client's team works in a hybrid remote pattern. 2/3 days onsite in their Cheshire HQ 2/3 days from home. Please only apply if you're able to commit to a hybrid working model (not fully remote.)

The organisations site is very accessible via train and public transport, there is also full free parking at site.

Duties
  • Designing and implementing effective database and data warehouse solutions.
  • Developing and maintaining ETL packages and solutions for the businesses reporting needs.
  • Analyse and develop complex datasets to ensure data quality and integrity.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand data needs
Essential existing skills and experience:
  • Proficiency in database design and management ideally SQL based systems but will consider other platforms.
  • Experience writing SQL queries. Highly desirable experience writing TSQL, stored procedures.
  • Ideally a relevant technology or business degree.
Desirable skills and experience:
  • SQL Server SISS, SSAS/Cube design, knowledge of SQL DW principals, Power BI, Azure, SSRS/Reporting Services, Power Apps or Power Platform experience.
  • Experience of My SQL Aurora or Oracle DBMS.
