My client, an accomplished, well
- respected Multidisciplinary Consultancy is currently searching for Principal Flood Risk and Drainage Consultant to join their team of expert engineers, based in the lively city of Bristol.
- A Bachelor/s or Master/s Degree in Geography, Environmental Management, or other relevant discipline- Demonstrable experience within flood risk and drainage, including experience with design guidance, aligning with the relevant by-laws and agreements- Demonstrable experience in project management- Experience of stakeholder management, liaising with clients across the public and private sectors, and an acute commercial awareness- Good working knowledge of software packages, including MicroDrainage/InfoDrainage, AutoCAD, QGIS (and other GIS software), etc.
- Chartered Membership of a Professional Body (such as ICE, CIHT, etc.), or actively working to achieve Chartered Status- Excellent communication skills when liaising with colleagues and other stakeholders- The ability to prioritise a range of projects well, with good time management skills In your new role of Principal Flood Risk and Drainage Consultant, you will join an outstanding team of engineering and design experts, with extensive opportunities to develop your career through Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
- Managing projects at all stages, from inception through to completion- Preparation and submission of tenders and fee proposals, utilising technical and commercial experience- Overseeing the completion of Flood Risk Assessments, Flood Scoping Reports, and Drainage Strategies- Working with the wider team to produce conceptual drainage design (incorporating SuDS techniques), and production of the relevant drainage plans- Preparing and reviewing reports, drawings, and calculations- Completing Flood Risk Appraisals for clients, providing practical risk mitigation, recommendations, and commercial advice- Line managing a team of expert colleagues, with a commitment to overseeing their professional development As Principal Flood Risk and Drainage Consultant, you will have access to a multitude of company benefits, including the following:
