An opportunity has arisen at Westminster Memorial Hospital to join the Facilities team as a Facilities Assistant.

Please note that this will be a multi skilled job description and training will be provided for cleaning, portering and catering provision if the service demand requires, however the main duty will be cleaning. Applicants should be enthusiastic, motivated and able to work as part of a team and also on their own.

This position is for afternoon shifts, 16 hours per week to include every other Sunday. We work on a 2 week rota. There is also opportunities for extra hours to cover sickness or annual leave.

Shift timings as follows-

Week 1

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday 14:00-18:00

Week 2

Saturday, Monday, Tuesday & Thursday 14:00-18:00

Main duties of the job

Provide an effective, patient-focused facilities service to meet NHS cleanliness standards as a minimum.

Provision of appropriate portering services.

To contribute to the delivery of Catering Services in the hospital and ensure a clean, safe and hygienic environment.

Full training, induction and uniform will be provided, and we also offer generous annual leave entitlement as well as a pension scheme.

Employment in this post requires a Standard Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service are able to present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check.
