This London based law firm is dedicated to fostering strong relationships with its clients while promoting a supportive and collaborative work culture.

They are looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join their London Finance team. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for a detail-oriented professional to manage payroll processes efficiently while ensuring full compliance with relevant regulations.

The role offers hybrid working after the first 4 weeks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure timely and accurate payroll execution.
  • Oversee the ADP payroll system and liaise with ADP for monthly payroll processing.
  • Handle payroll adjustments related to various employee absences, including family leave and sickness.
  • Upload bulk payroll data (e.g. salary changes, bonuses, benefits) into ADP.
  • Process new starters, leavers, and contractual modifications, ensuring proper documentation.
  • Manage benefits administration, including medical and dental plans, wellbeing loans, and salary exchange schemes.
  • Prepare and submit annual P11D reports and oversee the transition to payrolling benefits.
  • Ensure compliance with HMRC regulations, pension auto-enrolment, and liaise with pension providers.
  • Assist with PAYE Settlement Agreements and process third-party payments (e.g. HMRC, pension schemes, court orders).
  • Support audits by addressing payroll-related queries, address payroll-related employee enquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist with salary reviews by providing key payroll insights.
  • Identify ways to enhance payroll operations through automation and process improvements. Implement best practices to drive efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
  • Lead the review and evaluation of the firm's payroll provider.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • 3-5 years of payroll experience with the ability to work independently.
  • Familiarity with ADP's iHCM system (preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of UK payroll regulations and legislation.
  • Part or fully CIPP qualified (preferred).
  • Experience with statutory payments, salary sacrifices, and pension schemes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
