HMP Berwyn is a category C local training prison with a remand function serving courts in North Wales with a capacity of 2106 men.

Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (BCUHB) provides a dedicated health and wellbeing service supporting patients with often complex needs including physical, mental health and substance misuse issues.

We offer training and development opportunities in our friendly and supportive teams.

Shifts times can vary but day cover is from 07:00-19:30 and night cover is 19:00-07:30.

Health and wellbeing services are delivered seven days a week day throughout the year. Your duties will include first and second reception screening for new arrivals, medication administration, triage and vaccination clinics. Long term condition clinics are a core clinical activity.

The role is varied, involving assessing and treating patients and carrying out effective care in an ever changing environment; responding to both their physical and mental well-being needs.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

  • Experience in a primary care and/or acute nursing
Desirable criteria
  • Significant experience at Band 5 in a related clinical environment
