Line Chef
Our client is looking for a Line Chef with hotel or restaurant experience to lead our team.
The Line Chef will prepare meals to order from seasonal produce using the best ingredients. The hotel with 16 rooms serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and our popular Sunday lunches are served every week, and daily special boards and afternoon teas with a strong local client base.
The purpose of the Line Chef is to run all aspects of the food operations, including:
Preparing and sending food to an extremely high standard, Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operationsMaintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area
Support in managing inventory and stock rotation
Contribute to creating an efficient and positive kitchen atmosphere
Achieving performance targets and complying with food safety laws.
As part of the senior team, you will be expected to drive the strategic development of the business.
Experience
Previous experience as a Line Cook or similar role within the hospitality industryProficiency in culinary techniques and food preparation
Knowledge of kitchen equipment operation and maintenance
Strong teamwork and communication skill
Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
The ideal candidate will thrive in offering consistent quality prepared dishes, collaborating with local suppliers, and innovating to keep menus seasonal and fresh.
The line chef, must also be hard working, a great communicator, and enthusiastic in developing their careers.
