SEMH Secondary Teaching Assistant
- Location: Bramley
- Working Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 16:30
- Pay: £85 to £105 per day
We are seeking a dedicated SEMH Secondary Teaching Assistant to join our team. This role involves supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health SEMH needs in a secondary school setting. The ideal candidate will have experience working with students who exhibit challenging behaviours and must be able to commit to working full-time.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Support students with SEMH needs by assisting in the implementation of individualised education plans (IEPs).
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to enhance student learning and engagement.
- Help manage classroom behaviour and support teachers in maintaining a positive learning environment.
- Encourage and motivate students to engage in their learning activities.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress and development.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Must be a driver with access to a vehicle due to the rural location of the school.
- Must have experience working with students with challenging behaviours.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated patience, resilience, and a positive attitude.
- No sponsorships available; applicants must be eligible to work in the UK.
Desirable:
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Relevant qualifications or training in SEMH support.
