Job overview
The post holder will support the delivery of a high‑quality, customer‑focused Learning and Organisational Development service that meets the needs of all Trust staff.
They will act as the first point of contact for Trust staff and external enquirers in relation to the Trust’s apprenticeship programme, work experience and other work placement initiatives.
The role will provide effective support to staff and visitors accessing the Learning and Organisational Development Service, ensuring a consistent, best‑in‑class learning and development offer is delivered both virtually and face to face.
A high level of initiative is required, with the role operating independently and without the need for direct supervision
Main duties of the job- Provide general administrative support to the Apprenticeship and Work Placement Lead by answering the telephones, dealing with queries (either in person or via emails), monitoring and responding to emails in the Apprenticeship and Work Experience inboxes.
- To maintain accurate records for apprentices on the Government Digital Apprentice Service, adding learners, training providers, and reporting.
- To provide administrative support using the OLM system to ensure that apprenticeship training records for staff are updated, and maintained.
- Support projects such as National Apprenticeship Week, Learning at Work Week, apprenticeship information stalls, job fairs, staff engagement and OD activities as required. This includes coordinating with the Communications Team, Facilities Management, and subject matter experts; following up with enquiries, conducting and reporting on evaluations.
- To write copy and draft Trust-wide and social media communications to advertise apprenticeships and other work placement schemes, using all communication channels to promote opportunities.This will include weekly news, posters, and banners.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities- To support research on good practice and how other Trusts / organisations are using apprenticeships and other government funded work opportunities to inform and improve the Trust’s programme and maximise the use of the Apprenticeship Levy.
- To support the Apprenticeship and Work Placement Lead in conducting evaluations of the apprenticeship programme, work experience programme and implementation of other government schemes as appropriate.
- To use professional communication skills, in a timely manner, to deal with enquiries and emails from staff, face to face, in writing, and when using the telephone.
- To use professional presentation skills in order to welcome and host delegates for events, supported by the Apprenticeship Lead and wider L&OD team.
- Undertake L&OD administrative duties as directed by the Apprenticeship and Work Placement Lead or other senior team members.
- To complete all of required activities and assignments associated with the relevant apprenticeship programme as directed by the training provider.

Education and Qualifications
Essential criteria- 5 x GCSEs, equivalent to A*-C / 4 and above, (including Maths and English), equivalent qualification or equivalent professional experience
Knowledge and Understanding
Essential criteria- Experience of using a range of MS Office packages, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Essential criteria- Previous experience of working in a customer services environment
- Previous experience working in HR or a learning & development environment Previous experience with ESR OLM for learner management
