Group Financial Controller / Financial Director (Designate)
Stockport area, Greater Manchester,Up to £80,000 per annum plus bonus and benefits.
We are recruiting a Group Financial Controller on behalf of a client, an international multi-entity SME that’s entering an exciting period of change and growth.
Initially, your role would be as Group Financial Controller and would be an on-site role based near Stockport, Greater Manchester, with a clear pathway to Finance Director within two years or less, due the retirement of the current role holder.
About the Role
You’ll be responsible for leading the financial function across 11 international entities spanning the UK, Europe, Scandinavia, the US, and India. With a blend of strategic leadership and hands-on oversight, this role will be key to embedding the processes, systems, and controls that will support future growth and stability.
Responsibilities
Oversee group-wide financial management, including multi-entity consolidations. Ensure compliance with UK GAAP, IFRS, and local reporting standards. Manage monthly reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. Lead the integration and optimization of Microsoft Dynamics 365 across all entities.Strengthen internal controls and ensure consistent, reliable financial reporting. Collaborate with senior leaders on financial planning, risk management, and investments.
Required Skills
Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or ACMA). Extensive experience in group accounting across multiple international entities. Expertise with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar platforms). Strong leadership and team development skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships.Experience in discrete manufacturing or international business is a plus.
Pay range and compensation package
Up to £80,000 per annum plus Bonus and, Expensed Car, Private Health Insurance, Pension, 26 days holiday (plus statutory days), Sick Pay and other well-being benefits.
