Job overview
We are looking for a suitable applicant to join our Estates Management Team that maintains and develops a substantial Estate at one of the country’s foremost Teaching Foundation Trusts.
Duties will involve the undertaking of minor repairs and maintenance across this site and assisting the craftsmen with major repairs. Duties will also include carrying out regular inspection of plant and equipment whilst ensuring irregularities are promptly reported.
Main duties of the job- To maintain the Trust’s building fabric, Engineering plant, Building Services and equipment in an efficient, economic and safe manner, in accordance with Health & Safety and other relevant regulations, guidelines, Codes of Practice and Departmental and Trust Policies.
- To undertake general housekeeping duties to ensure an acceptable level of workshop and plant room cleanliness.
- To become proficient in the operation of steam raising boiler plant and act in a team rotational basis to cover duties in this area.
- To undertake minor repairs and maintenance, unsupervised across the site.

- An engineering background or qualification
