• Providing accounting assistance to the accounting department.
• Typing accurately, preparing and maintaining accounting documents and records.
• Preparing bank deposits, general ledger postings, and statements.
• Reconciling accounts in a timely manner.
• Researching, tracking and restoring accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies.
• Functioning in accordance with established standards, procedures and applicable laws.
• Constantly updating job knowledge.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Finance Assistant should have:

• Demonstrable experience in a similar Finance Assistant role (at least two years)
• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly in Excel.
• Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures.
• Competency in working with spreadsheets and automated accounting systems.
• Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information.
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
