Job Duties:
- Supporting students with special educational needs in their learning and development
- Assisting the class teacher in implementing individual education plans
- Providing one-to-one support to students with SEN
- Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Assisting with classroom management and behaviour support
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths
- Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
Education:
Relevant Teaching Assistant qualification
Experience:
Prior experience working with children or individuals with special educational needs
Knowledge and Skills:
- Understanding of special educational needs and different learning styles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Patience, empathy, and resilience
Preferred Qualifications:
- First Aid certification
- Training in safeguarding children
Working Conditions:
This role will involve working in a classroom environment, providing support to students with special educational needs. The work may be physically demanding at times, and the successful candidate will need to be flexible and adaptable in their approach.
