Job Description- Oversee daily operations in the Accounting & Finance department.
- Responsibility for the monthly bank accounts reconciliations
- Coordinate budgeting and business planning processes.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
- Complete accountability for utilising the internet banking system to process BACS and CHAPS payments to employees and suppliers
- Collaborate with other departments to achieve organisational goals.
- Making certain that every month, all inter-company fees are increased inside the Group
- Examine any payment issues and/or supplier setup mistakes that the line manager finds each month in response to the AP Forensics report.
- Participate in the development of financial strategies.
- Mentor and guide junior staff in the department.
- To provide a high standard of customer service for both internal and external customers
The Successful Applicant
A successful Senior Finance Officer should have:
- At least 2 years' experience of working in an Housing or Property accounting department.
- Good knowledge of double entry book-keeping
- Proficient knowledge of financial regulations and accounting standards.
- Experience leading an Accounts Payable team
- Strong analytic and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- The ability to work collaboratively with other departments.
- A salary range of approximately £35,000 - £38,500.
