Band 7 Senior Sister/Charge Nurse - Full time 37.5 hours per week

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 7 Senior Sister/Charge nurse to manage our friendly and supportive team on Surgical assessment Unit (SAU)- surgical front door.
For this role you will need to demonstrate excellent communication and leadership skills. As the Senior Sister/Charge Nurse you must display a positive and professional manner and be open to change, being flexible and confident with the ability to manage a varied workload, as well as supervise, support and develop others in our established team.
- Act as a clinical expert in their area of practice.
- Take charge or delegate to the ward team as necessary.
- Participate in the delivery of care to ensure the individual needs of the patients are met.
- Promote the development, implementation and review of standards policies, procedures and clinical
- Assist in effectively leading and motivating staff in the provision of care and future service development.
- Promote evidence based clinical practice in performance improvement within the unit.
- Act as a resource in nursing practice throughout the specialities.
- Development and implementation of multi-disciplinary integrated care pathways for patients.
- Promote and deliver effective leadership within the clinical area.
- Demonstrate up to date knowledge and understanding of current issues and priorities that effect
National, Trust and Directorate wide healthcare, to facilitate clear leadership and direction.
