Food Technology Teacher - Salford
Teaching Personnel is excited to offer an outstanding opportunity for a passionate and qualified Food Technology Teacher to join a vastly improving secondary school on a temp-to-perm basis. We are looking for a motivated educator who is ready to inspire students, deliver high-quality lessons, and be a key member of the school community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Food Technology to students at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, ensuring the delivery of engaging, stimulating, and well-structured lessons.
- Develop students' practical and theoretical skills in Food Technology, including health and safety, cooking techniques, and nutrition.
- Manage the classroom effectively, maintaining high standards of behaviour and discipline at all times.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to support development and achievement.
- Work collaboratively with other members of the department to plan and deliver the curriculum.
- Participate in school-wide activities and contribute to the school’s overall ethos and culture.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a relevant degree in Food Technology or a related field.
- Previous experience teaching Food Technology at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 is essential.
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills are required, with the ability to maintain a focused and respectful environment in practical lessons.
- Passionate about teaching Food Technology and helping students develop their skills and interest in the subject.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A commitment to creating a positive, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
The Role:
- Temp-to-Perm: This is a temporary position initially, with the potential to become permanent based on performance and the school’s needs.
- Full-time role with full-time timetable including PPA.
