Your new role
In this role, you will receive hands-on training while working alongside an experienced estimator. You will assist in creating cost estimates for large-scale electrical projects across various sectors, offering a unique learning experience. Typical responsibilities will include:
- Producing competitive, commercially viable tenders for new and existing clients.
- Carrying out take-offs from working drawings.
- Negotiating the optimum tender price from suppliers, wholesalers, and subcontractors.
- Ensuring tenders are prepared to a high standard.
- Participating in the handover of successful bids to the delivery team.
- Ensuring the delivery team understands the technical, financial, and key programme issues.
What you'll need to succeed
You should have a background in electrical building services, either as a time-served Electrician or with an HNC+ qualification in Building Services or Electrical Engineering. IT competency and good communication skills are essential. Additionally, you must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to your own transport.Previous experience will be an advantage.
