The Role
As a Mechanical Engineer, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the waterfront engineering systems and management of the on-site fitters.
Day-to-day, you'll support the engineering manager in leading and managing the waterfront engineering teams, ensuring tasks are delivered safely, on time and to specification.- Mechanical maintenance of mechanical engineering systems
- Day-to-day management of the mechanical fitters
- Ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with Clyde's cost, time and quality requirements
- Identify and generate solutions for engineering issues within the facility
- Produce, review and amend planned maintenance documentation
This role is full time, 36 hours per week and is based on site at HMNB Clyde.
Experience required of the Mechanical Engineer- Excellent knowledge of mechanical engineering
- Knowledge of risk assessments
- HNC / HND in relevant engineering subject
- ILM Level 3 or equivalent
- Working at heights preferred
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
